Herbal Consultations

Many people are unsure where to start working on their health goals. A consultation can help you find the herb or formula best suited to your needs, as well as nutrition or lifestyle insights that inform choices in your everyday life.

During our initial intake, I’ll first want to learn more about your symptoms and medical history, and what you want to focus on.  I’ll then offer strategies to shift your health picture including herbs, nutrition, sleep, etc.  Through conversation, we can collaboratively determine what is realistic and sustainable for you in the long term.  Follow-up appointments give us the opportunity to re-assess what worked and what did not, and to change herbal formulas and lifestyle suggestions accordingly.

Several follow-ups over a period of months are ideal for most people hoping to see major changes and lasting results in long-term health issues.  People with short-term health issues such as a cold/flu, recovering from surgery, or a recent injury, may only need 1 or 2 consultations.

I emphasize non-judgemental listening, individualized care, and focusing on the root causes instead of symptoms. I gravitate toward using gentle remedies and daily routines.  Slow and steady can create profound change.

I am currently scheduling client sessions in-person at my home office or remotely via zoom.  Herbal formulas and supplements can be picked up or shipped to you, or you can acquire them on your own if preferred. Let me know if you need an alternative option for meeting (such as a phone call).

Pricing:

In the spirit of accessibility, I offer consultations on a sliding scale of $50-100 per session (this does not include the price of herbal remedies.)  You decide what you are able to pay based on your financial resources.   If you would like to discuss trade or other non-traditional approaches to payment, please get in touch.

Current Students: I do not see anyone who is currently a student at CSCH (where I teach) or currently enrolled in the Mountain Herbalism botany program.  Please contact me if you would like a referral.
